Need to boost rural talent, DGP Youth Service & Sports (YS&S) Dr. Saleem-u-Rehman.

Srinagar: In what is being seen as a triumph of sorts over the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the valley’s mega event of Bungus Soccer Tournament was played at the sports field of Bakihakher in Handwara of Kupwara district. This brand event was organized by the most famous sports organization of district Kupwara” Bungs Soccer organization “with collaboration of Youth service and Sports’ Youth Service & Sports ‘ & JK Football Association (JKFA).
In the final match spectators witnessed quality football display but ultimately it was Arco Sports from Sopore who emerged as winners. Arco Sports had the upper hand throughout the match and clinched the trophy.
The event was attended by many top officials from civil administration & security agencies including, Chief Guest DGP YS&S J&K, Dr. Saleem-u- Rehman, President JKFA,SHO and SDPO Handwara, Trade president Handwara & other senior citizens of North Kashmir.
DGP YS&S while talking to the media said that many more such tournaments in other disciplines will be conducted in future. He added that we saw huge talent among players hailing from rural areas and this tournament will help them to improve their skills. Chief organizer Mir Suliman highlighted many problems regarding sports fields with DGP.YS&S.
While talking to the media he said that the day after tomorrow higher officials & district administration will provide only assurance of good facilities from ground level to official level but till this time nothing is going on. This time we the people of Handwara hope for the best improvement regarding playing grounds and other facilities. Later on chief guest of function, DGP YS&S J&K, Dr. Saleem-u- Rehman distributed prizes among players. Locals hailed the efforts of organising this tournament.
