Srinagar: Budgam Kabaddi Club (BKS) lifted Open Kashmir Kabaddi Championship (OKKC) 2022 trophy defeating Zoonipora, Sopore in the final match played at Indoor Sports Hall Shadipora on Tuesday.
The final was played between Budgam and Zoonipora, Spore in which Budgam badly defeated Zoonipora, Sopore. The event was organised by Terrific Trio Trust, Sopore.
In the event eight teams participated from different districts of Kashmir. All matches were to play at Govt Boys Higher Secondary Spore. But due to bad weather, the semi-final and final has been shifted to Indoor sports hall Shadipora, Sumbal.
SDPO Sumbal, Mohan Chinder was the chief guest on the occasion who distributed the prizes among the winning and runner up teams. The main aim of organising such sports events is to keep youth engaged in sports activities, so that they will stay away from drugs and mobile phones.
