BJP Will End TMC Rule in West Bengal, Says PM Modi; Promises Development, Safety and Festival Cheer

Kolkata: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday addressed a massive public meeting in Kolkata, delivering a sharp critique of the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) government while urging West Bengal voters to elect the BJP.

Modi emphasized the importance of BJP’s victory in the state to ensure that central government schemes benefit the people. “It is necessary to elect the BJP in West Bengal to ensure that the benefits of central government schemes reach the people. It is certain that TMC will be removed from power and BJP will be elected,” he asserted.

Taking aim at the TMC government, Modi highlighted increasing crimes against women and rampant corruption, calling them the defining features of the current administration. “The atrocities against women in the state have increased. Crime and corruption have become the identity of the TMC government. Till the TMC is in power in the state, there will be no development. The real change will only come when the TMC is removed from power. Criminals and corrupt should be in jail, not in power,” he said.

Adding a lighter, festive note to his address, Modi linked governance with celebration, saying, “I have come at a time when preparations for Durga Puja have begun. From Burrabazar to Park Street, Kolkata is busy preparing and decorating for this festival. When the festival of development is also added to this festival of happiness and faith, the happiness doubles.”
