New Delhi: In a momentous event coinciding with Ambedkar Diwas, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched its much-anticipated manifesto, titled ‘Modi Ki Guarantee,’ on April 14, 2024. Amidst an atmosphere charged with anticipation and hope, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, flanked by BJP National President J.P. Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Manifesto Committee Chairperson Rajnath Singh, presented the ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’ Sankalp Patra to the nation. The event, held on the historic occasion of Ambedkar Diwas, underscored the BJP’s resolve to steer India towards a future characterized by progress, prosperity, and inclusivity.
In his address, Prime Minister Modi dedicated the Sankalp Patra to the Gareeb (poor), Yuva (youth), Annadata (farmers), and Nari (women) of the nation, emphasizing the transformative potential of the next five years. He lauded the massive public outreach efforts that shaped the manifesto, noting that it truly reflected the aspirations and concerns of millions of citizens.
The ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’ Sankalp Patra outlines a comprehensive roadmap for national development, spanning key sectors and demographics. It promises to extend free rations to over 80 crore citizens for the next five years under the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, ensuring food security for the most vulnerable sections of society. Additionally, the manifesto commits to continuing the provision of free and quality healthcare through initiatives like Ayushman Bharat, which has already benefitted impoverished families across the country.
Notably, the BJP’s manifesto places a strong emphasis on women empowerment, with promises to empower rural women economically, enhance market access for women Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and facilitate increased participation of women in the workforce through targeted infrastructure development. Health and well-being of women are also prioritized, with a focus on preventing diseases like Anaemia and Breast Cancer and launching initiatives to eliminate cervical cancer.
For the youth, the manifesto pledges to ensure transparent government recruitment processes to safeguard their future, while senior citizens can expect expanded healthcare coverage and seamless access to essential services at their doorstep. The agricultural sector, a cornerstone of India’s economy, features prominently in the Sankalp Patra, with promises to strengthen support for farmers through schemes like PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and PM Fasal Bima Yojana.
In the realm of governance, the BJP reiterates its commitment to bringing about key reforms, including the implementation of a Uniform Civil Code and the realization of One Nation, One Election. Quality education, balanced regional development, and robust infrastructure along India’s borders also find mention in the manifesto, reaffirming the party’s comprehensive vision for the nation’s progress.
The launch of the ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’ Sankalp Patra sets the stage for a vision-driven approach to governance in the coming years by BJP. This marks a crucial milestone in the BJP’s electoral journey, encapsulating its vision, promises, and dedication to serving the nation’s interests.
