Addressing the media, Kotecha expressed outrage over the incident, stating, “Once again, Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Sanjay Patil’s goons have pelted stones at my campaign chariot with the intention of harming me. Unfortunately, my fellow BJP activist Niharika Khondale has been hit by the stone on her neck.” He further emphasized the gravity of the situation by highlighting the filing of a formal complaint with the police.

Undeterred by the attack, Kotecha issued a daring challenge to his adversaries, daring Sanjay Patil’s associates to confront him directly during campaigning on May 1, coinciding with Maharashtra Day. “I give an open challenge to Sanjay Patil’s goons that I will once again openly come to Mankhurd tomorrow on May 1. If you have guts, then let’s have a face-to-face confrontation rather than backstabbing,” declared Kotecha.
