Patna: Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal has raised concerns over the tragic stampede at New Delhi Railway Station that claimed the lives of at least 18 people, suggesting the possibility of a conspiracy. Speaking on Sunday, Jaiswal stated, “There seems to be a conspiracy behind the sudden outbreak of the stampede. The incident should be investigated from the conspiracy angle.”
While also addressing the sensitive issue of religious faith, Jaiswal criticized RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s recent comments, dismissing Kumbh as “meaningless.” He remarked, “Lalu has aged now. He himself doesn’t know what he says anymore.”
On the other hand, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav took to social media platform ‘X’, calling for accountability from the government. “The country is asking, Bihar is asking who is responsible for these deaths? These are devotees, not a crowd. The government and media should stop calling them a crowd,” he wrote.
Yadav emphasized the government’s failure to ensure proper arrangements for the devotees. “If this double engine government had focused on managing the arrangements instead of wasting resources on publicity, so many lives would not have been lost,” Yadav said, adding, “The government is responsible for the lives lost due to failure and mismanagement, and there is no forgiveness for this. Neither the public nor mother Ganga will forgive.”
