Bihar Assembly Polls on Nov 6 & 11, Counting on Nov 14

New Delhi: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday announced that the Bihar Assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 6 and November 11, 2025, with the counting of votes scheduled for **November 14, 2025.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, while addressing the press, said, “Bihar assembly elections to be held in two phases – 6th and 11th November; Counting of votes on 14th November.”

Highlighting the Commission’s efforts to ensure transparency, Gyanesh Kumar added, “After 22 years, the purification of voters’ list was concluded in Bihar on 30th September 2025.”

The ECI emphasized that the updated electoral roll will help strengthen the democratic process in the state. An official statement noted, “Purification of electoral roll in Bihar to ensure no eligible voter is left out and no ineligible person is included.”

With the announcement, the Model Code of Conduct comes into immediate effect in Bihar, setting the stage for a high-stakes political battle across the state.
