Bhiwandi: The Bhiwandi based Ansari family has lost their two kids after the 34 year old Jilani apartment came crashing down at 3.45 am, on Monday.
Ansari, a 40 year old auto rickshaw driver, who is a survivor, a resides along with wife Salma Ansari, (35), and their three kids, Aksa Abid Ansari (14), Danish Abid Ansari (11) and Kanish Abid Ansari on the third floor of the building for many years.
During the mishap, Aksa and Danish died while three suffered injuries. The trio was taken to IGM hospital where the treatment is going on.
The bodies of two kids and three alive were rescued by locals and the NDRF and TDRF team on the early morning of Monday.
According to Saba who is the younger sister of Abid said, “I along with three kids went to another sister home which is why they all are safe. I got a call around 5 am after which I rushed to the spot and found two kids were no more and three were injured.

In the building collapse incident, some people are struggling for life while some who survive are fighting for their life in the hospital including a 36year old Rukhsar Qureshi who was rescued by a team of NDRF. She has received serious head injuries and is taking treatment in Kalwa hospital while her husband Zuber Qureshi (40), two kids including Ujefa and Faiza.

Zakir Khan (28) who is another building resident while speaking to the news21, ” Since 4.30 on Monday, I got a call from my brother Shahid khan who resides at the second floor with a family member that we all were trapped under debris. I rushed to the spot. Although, I have pulled out five bodies by afternoon I have not seen my brother yet”.

Meanwhile, taking serious cognizance of the building mishap incident, Bhiwandi commissioner Pankaj Ashiya on Monday evening, suspended two senior civic officers including Sudam Jadhav Assistant Municipal Commissioner and engineer Dudhnath Yadav. An enquiry committee has been formed which is headed by Omprakash Divade including town planning officer.-By Narendra Gupta
