Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) has unveiled plans to make the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 a seamless and enriching experience for pilgrims. To cater to the expected influx of devotees, IRCTC is introducing two special Kumbh Mela tourist trains connecting Mumbai to Prayagraj. These trains are designed to provide a convenient and comfortable travel option for pilgrims and tourists attending the spiritual event.

In addition to the special trains, IRCTC is developing the Maha Kumbh Gram, a tent city in Prayagraj. The tent city will offer world-class accommodations, blending traditional spirituality with modern amenities. “The Maha Kumbh Gram will provide an immersive cultural experience that celebrates India’s spiritual diversity while ensuring accessibility and comfort for all visitors,” said an IRCTC official.

The initiative is part of IRCTC’s broader effort to boost tourism and cater to the growing number of pilgrims visiting the Kumbh Mela. The tent city will feature luxurious tents, superior sanitation facilities, and various amenities to ensure a memorable stay for visitors from around the globe. Sanjay Kumar Jain, Chairman and Managing Director of IRCTC, expressed enthusiasm for the project, stating, “Maha Kumbh Gram, IRCTC Tent City at Prayagraj will be a transformative addition to the pilgrimage and tourism landscape, combining luxury accommodation with a culturally immersive experience. Our objective is to provide an accessible, comfortable, and enriching experience for all visitors.”

With these initiatives, IRCTC aims to elevate the Maha Kumbh Mela experience, blending spirituality, culture, and comfort for millions of pilgrims expected to attend this grand event in 2025.
