Bharat Darshan tour organised by 97th Bn of BSF for Kupwara students concluded today

Srinagar: Bharat Darshan tour 2024 organized by the 97 Battalion of the Border Security Force (97 Bn BSF) Trehgam, Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir under the aegis of Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) for students in the valley from February 6 to February 12 concluded on Tuesday.

A group of 14 students (boys) and a teacher from the Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School, Keran, Govt. High School, Mandian and Govt. Upper Primary School, Naga which are located near the Line of Control (LoC) participated in the said tour. On their arrival from the tour the group was given a warm welcome at the 97 Bn BSF, Trehgam, Kupwara wherein the students enthusiastically shared their experiences and learnings from the tour. 

The tour was flagged off by Brig (Retd) Manish Dutt Upadhyay, DIG, SHQ BSF Kupwara on February 6. During the week-long tour, these students visited places of historical and cultural importance in Mumbai and witnessed the multicultural and multilingual diversity of mighty India.

These students visited all the major tourist attractions in Mumbai “The Economic capital of India” like Goregaon Film City, Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha, Juhu Chowpatty, Marine Drive, Gate Way of India, Elephanta Caves, Fashion Street, Belapur Dubble Junction, Nexus Seawood mall, Atal Setu, Haji Ali Dargah, Bandra, Bungalow of Film Stars, Campus Area of 102 Rapid Action Force (RAF) Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), local market and also enjoyed a ride in the Metro train.

During the tour, students carried the message of love and peace from the Kashmir valley to the rest of India.

The chief guest presented the group with a photo album containing their tour memories followed by tea and snacks. All participants appreciated the Bharat Darshan Tour 2024 and all the travel arrangements like accommodation, food, transport, curriculum, and quality of the items issued to them.

Participants further shared their experiences with the chief guest, officers and troops, friends and families. This tour provided them a unique exposure to witness the rich culture of India and also enabled them to gain first-hand knowledge about various developments taking place in different parts of the country.
