Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced that a youth was arrested from Hajo on the morning of April 26 in connection with anti-national activities. In a statement, Sarma emphasized that the state government is investigating various posts and will take strict action against those promoting anti-national sentiments.
“We are investigating the posts, and we will take action against those posts which are anti-national. Whoever supports Pakistan directly or indirectly, we will apply NSA against them. We will take strict action,” said Dr. Sarma.
The arrest and the CM’s firm stance come as part of ongoing efforts to curb activities that threaten national security and peace within the state.
