Former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has accused the BJP of attempting to lure AAP candidates with cash offers and ministerial positions, following exit poll predictions favoring the saffron party in the Delhi Assembly elections.

Taking to X on Thursday, Kejriwal claimed, “In the last two hours, 16 of our candidates have received phone calls urging them to leave AAP and join their party, promising ministerial positions and ₹15 crore each.” He further questioned, “If their party is truly winning more than 55 seats, why do they need to call our candidates?”

Exit polls, including those by Axis My India and Today’s Chanakya, have projected a clear BJP majority. The Axis My India survey predicts 45-55 seats for the BJP with a 48% vote share, while AAP is expected to secure 15-25 seats with 42% of votes. Today’s Chanakya also foresees a BJP victory with over 51 seats.

Dismissing these projections, Kejriwal alleged that “fake surveys” were being used to create an atmosphere for candidate poaching but assured that none of AAP’s members would defect.
