Another Bomb Threat Targets Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin; Security Tightened as Hoax Emails Also Name Actors Ajith, Aravind Swamy & Khushbu

Chennai: Tamil Nadu was on edge again on Monday after Chief Minister MK Stalin became the target of yet another bomb threat, prompting an immediate and heightened security response across Chennai. According to information received by the state police, an email claiming that bombs were planted at locations linked to the Chief Minister was sent to the office of the Director General of Police (DGP). The same email also mentioned actors Ajith Kumar, Aravind Swamy, and Khushbu, triggering a widespread security sweep around their residences.

Following the alert, police teams swiftly launched detailed inspections at all the addresses listed in the threat mail. Bomb detection and disposal squads, dog units and local police personnel were deployed in large numbers. After hours of inspection, authorities confirmed that no suspicious objects were recovered and that the email was a hoax.

This fresh scare comes amid a worrying pattern. In the past few months, multiple institutions and high-profile individuals have repeatedly received similar bogus threats, forcing the police to remain on constant alert. Just last month, Stalin faced a similar threat that also resulted in a complete security sweep, but investigators found nothing incriminating.

October 3 saw a cluster of threats across the state — the BJP headquarters, actor Trisha’s home, and even the Chennai Airport Manager’s office received alarming emails claiming bombs were placed in garbage bins within the airport. Security personnel combed through the premises, only to confirm once again that the threats were false.
