
Mumbai: The Maharashtra government on Monday issued an official Government Resolution (GR) appointing Shiv Sena (UBT) chief and former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray as the chairman of the Balasaheb Thackeray Memorial Committee, marking a significant step in the ongoing work related to the memorial of the late Shiv Sena founder.
Along with Uddhav Thackeray’s appointment, the state government also named key political leaders as members of the committee. Aaditya Thackeray, MLA and former Maharashtra minister, and veteran Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Subhash Desai have been included as members.

In addition, BJP MLA Parag Alwani and Shiv Sena leader Shishir Shinde have been appointed to the panel, indicating a multi-party representation in the committee’s structure.
