New Delhi: As tensions between India and Pakistan escalate, the Indian Railways has announced the operation of three special trains to ensure the safe and smooth transportation of passengers from Jammu and Udhampur to Delhi. This move comes in the wake of Jammu airport’s closure, as authorities scramble to accommodate travel demands amidst a war-like situation along the India-Pakistan border.

Train Services in Light of the Ongoing Crisis

In a bid to support the travel needs of residents and ensure the safety of passengers, the following special trains have been planned:

  • Train 04612 will depart from Jammu at 10:45 am, comprising 12 unreserved and 12 reserved coaches.
  • Another 20-coach Vande Bharat rake will run as a special from Udhampur via Jammu and Pathankot, set to leave at 12:45 pm.
  • A 22-coach LHB full reserved train is being planned for Jammu around 7:00 pm tonight.

This rail service is a vital contingency plan, ensuring that people can travel in and out of the region, especially after the Jammu airport’s temporary closure due to heightened security risks.
