Indian Army recovers a Maruti Alto skidded off near BSF Peer Baba, Sarkuli, Kalaroos, Kupwara

Srinagar: Early on Tuesday morning, a Maruti Alto belonging to Hav Mumtaj (101TA) from Nunwani, skidded off the road and got stuck in the trees near BSF Peer Baba, Sarkuli, Kalaroos. An Indian Army patrol in the vicinity from Sarkuli observed this and immediately rushed to the incident site. The team with the help of an Army ALS and villagers recovered the vehicle. There was no injury reported to the individual driving the car.
The villagers were advised by the Army to be more cautious especially between Sarkuli and Machhal which has many hairpin curves. The route would be more precarious during the coming winter season. The people felt assured that the Indian Army would always be there as first responders for all types of contingencies.
Army holds Khairiyat patrol at Mawer valley
Continuing with its efforts to stay connected with the locals, a patrol of TMG bdr Nowgam conducted a Khairiyat Patrol to know the whereabouts in the village.
In their interaction the patrol met and interacted with the villagers of Reshwari and Puthwari and discussed hygiene and sanitation. Ensuring a deep connection with the locals in the village after the bad weather and cold.
Indian Army organises Free Dental Camp at Udaan School, Drugmulla
In an attempt to educate the people about oral hygiene and provide oral health care in Drugmulla Block, Thunderbolt Brigade of the Indian Army organised a free Dental Camp for the local population at Udaan School, Durgmulla on Tuesday.
The Dental Camp was organised by the doctors of Army Dental Corps. The dental camp witnessed huge turnout of close to 300 needy people including females and children who were offered medical opinion, consultation and prescription for the ailment and were distributed with free medicines.
The larger aim of the medical camp was to provide an opportunity to the local people to seek best of the medical advice for their ailment which otherwise involves visiting hospitals in Kupwara and Srinagar.
The medical camp also witnessed the free distribution of various oral hygiene products like ToothBrush, Tooth Paste, Mouth wash, Dental Floss etc.
This camp has helped to bring Army and the people closer to each other and the feedback of visitors has once again established the fact that Indian Army is for and with the people of Kashmir.
