Srinagar: The medical camp was organised by Ayush department Kupwara in collaboration with Centre for Research on Public Policy (CRPP) to provide medical care to the villagers in the area at their doorsteps.

Leading specialist doctors from Kupwara district were pooled in for the camp to render on the spot consultation and treatment to the patients. The medical camp also provided a facility of free medicines for their well-being in the winter months.

More than 150 locals including children, women and elderly people, visited the camp and consulted the doctors. Besides medical consultations and health check-ups, medicines were also provided to the people.

Villagers appreciated the initiative taken by the CRPP, Ayush department Kupwara and expressed hope that such types of medical camps are organised across the Union Territory on a regular basis.

While talking to media Dr Shahi Jahan and Advocate Abdul Majid Banday said that they were giving their best medical aid to the locals of Kupwara district and giving free medicines to locals. They added that they would be organising more medical camps in far flung areas.
