More than 116 crore 87 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Health Ministry said, over 32 lakh 99 thousand doses were administered yesterday.
India reported over eight thousand new cases during the last 24 hours. India’s Active caseload stands at one lakh 18 thousand 443. Active cases account for less than one per cent of total cases and it is currently at 0.34 per cent, the lowest since March last year.
The Ministry said, the recovery rate is currently at 98.31 per cent and it is highest since March last year. Over 12 thousand people recovered in the last 24 hours and total recoveries touched three crore 39 lakh 34 thousand 547.
The weekly positivity rate currently stands at 0.93 per cent which is less than two per cent for the last 59 days. Daily positivity rate is at 1.08 per cent which is less than two per cent for last 49 days.
The number of deaths due to the pandemic has reached four lakh 65 thousand 911. In the last 24 hours, 249 deaths were reported.
Till now, over 63 crore 25 lakh tests have been conducted. Over 7 lakh 83 thousand tests were conducted yesterday.
