Kupwara Terriers of the Indian Army lends its support to martial arts academy in Kupwara

Srinagar: A martial art academy run by Aijaz Ah Bhat in Kupwara approached the Kupwara Terriers (Indian Army) for supporting the academy as well as providing a platform to the children for showcasing their talent and skills. The academy has 100 plus students which includes girls and boys between ages of 5 years to 18 years.

The children from the academy have represented Kupwara in various events and brought glory to their families and the district. The children from the academy displayed their prowess and skills during their interactions at Patahirri Garrison and Army Goodwill School Wayne, (AGSW) Kupwara in the past few months. 

Colonel Swaraj Bhattacharya from Kupwara Terriers presented the children from the academy with a practice kit for martial arts and assured continued support to the children. He reiterated the importance of sports in creating a positive environment to harness the sporting talent in the valley.

The children were thrilled to receive the equipment which will assist them in their training and improve their skills.

Kupwara Terriers is committed to reinforce the importance of sports, promote positivity, team spirit and steer the youth away from violence and negative influences.
