More than 88 crore 34 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Health Ministry said, over 65 lakh 34 thousand doses were administered yesterday.

India reported more than 23 thousand new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. India’s Active caseload stands at two lakh 77 thousand 20 and it is the lowest in 195 days. Active cases account for less than one per cent of total cases and it is currently at 0.82 per cent, the lowest since March last year.

The Ministry said, the recovery rate is currently at 97.85 per cent, the highest since March last year. Over 28 thousand people recovered in the last 24 hours and total recoveries touched three crore 30 lakh 14 thousand 898.

The weekly positivity rate currently stands at 1.74 per cent which is less than three per cent for the last 97 days. Daily positivity rate is at 1.56 per cent which is less than three per cent for last 31 days.

The death toll due to the pandemic has reached four lakh 48 thousand 62. In all, 311 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.

Over 56 crore 89 lakh COVID tests conducted so far. Over 15 lakh six thousand tests were conducted yesterday.
