Gujarat govt allows ‘sheri garbas’ in residential societies & streets during Navratri festival

Gujarat government has decided to allow ‘sheri garbas’ or street Garbas in residential societies and streets during the upcoming Navratri festival. However, the commercial organization of Garbas and Navratri celebrations has been banned this year also. According to official sources, the number of participants in the Street Garbas will be restricted up to 400.

The government has also relaxed the night curfew in eight major cities of the state from tomorrow and it will be effective from midnight to 6 am in the morning. The number of persons allowed during the funeral processions has also been increased from 40 to 100. Public gardens in the state will now remain open till 10 pm. News gaency, reports that the state has reported 17 new cases of Covid-19 during the last 24 hours. More than 5 lakh 24 thousand persons have been vaccinated yesterday.
