Shiv Sena-BJP ‘insulted’ public mandate: Raj Thackeray

In a surprise turnabout, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena President Raj Thackeray on Saturday termed the recent political developments in the state as an “insult” to the people.

“The Shiv Sena-Bharatiya Janata Party have ‘insulted’ the public sentiments… The Sena joining hands with Nationalist Congress Party-Congress is not correct,” the MNS chief said.

Raj Thackeray said that those who ‘defected’ were taught a lesson by the voters, and the people are unhappy with the Maha Vikas Aghadi government.

He predicted that its repercussions would be felt in the next elections, at a media conference here.
