Army invites school children and teachers for A Day with Company Commander

Srinagar: After overcoming the harsh brunt of ‘Chillai Kalan’ and ‘The Pandemic’, locals of Haril merrily joined Haril Camp in celebrating A Day with Company Commander. The Indian Army has been organising such events inviting interaction with the local schools and civic administration.

The event began with a plethora of interesting activities planned for the children that included Bino Sightseeing, Quad-copter Flying, and Visit to Sarv Dharm Sthal, Singing and Jam Sessions

Various competitions for all age groups were also organised to unleash the sportive talents of the young children. Competitions like Lemon Spoon Race, Bull’s Eye, Glass Pyramid, Jalebi Race, Bottle Fishing, Try Your Luck and Tug of War were held. The event also turned out to be an opportunity to interact with the local Sarpanchs and Numberdars over a cup of tea.

The Awam (local people) expressed their heartiest gratitude and hailed the army for organising such events which help in strengthening the bond between the Awam and the Army Jawans. A total of nine Teachers, 83 Boys, 21 Girls and eight Sarpanchs and Ward Members were present for the event.
