Indian Army holds career counselling for youths at Langate

Srinagar: The Indian Army with an aim to educate, spread awareness and motivate the youth to take up Armed Forces as a career option on Thursday organised a Career Counselling Session for the youth.at Langate Camp.

The youth were provided with complete information relating to various entry level career options in the various branches of the Indian Armed Forces. Around 60 students attended the career counselling session. After the lecture session a doubt solving and interactive session was also held.

The Indian Army has been regularly holding such career counselling sessions for the local unemployed Kashmiri youths in Kupwara and other areas in North Kashmir. The Indian Army has been constantly imbibing the need for living a life in peace and dignity whereby personal prosperity and growth can be achieved.

Interactive sessions with various skill development centers, NGOs and various civil and government agencies are also held. In many cases the youth are often offered jobs in the hotel and tourism industry, petrol pumps and other job opportunities elsewhere in the state and the country.
