After the pictures of the nail studded road went viral on social media Delhi police came out with clarification. However, now pictures of nail removal from Ghazipur border are going viral.

Meanwhile, the Central government today extended the deployment of 31 CRPF companies, including 16 RAF companies, for Delhi-NCR by two weeks. The decision has been taken in view of the ongoing farmers’ protest.

Also, internet services continue to remain disrupted for the fifth day at the Ghazipur protest site. Protesters have been camping at a stretch of the Delhi-Meerut highway there since November.

It was reported that scores of people on tractor-trailers continued to reach Ghazipur from several Uttar Pradesh areas, while many others left for their home towns and villages to participate in the February 6 ‘chakka jam’.

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha, an umbrella body of farmer unions, has given a call for the nationwide ‘chakka jam’ on February 6 during which protesters will block national and state highways as well as roads from 12 noon to 3 pm in support of their demand to repeal the three contentious farm laws.
