Political uncertainty within Shiv Sena UBT deepened on Thursday as senior leader Sanjay Raut appeared to send a strong message to party MPs amid reports of possible defections from the Uddhav Thackeray-led camp.
Arriving at Parliament for an important parliamentary party meeting, Raut made it clear that attendance at the gathering would be viewed as a test of loyalty.
“Jo aayenge wo humare, nahi aayenge wo beimaan-gaddar,” he told reporters, signaling that leaders who stay away from the meeting could face serious questions about their commitment to the party.

“Our party’s Lok Sabha leader Arvind Sawant has issued a whip to all our MPs that an important meeting is happening today at our parliamentary office in Delhi. It is necessary to discuss some issues. We will start our meeting at 11 am today. I don’t know how many MPs have reached Delhi so far,” he said.
His remarks reflected growing uncertainty over the final turnout and whether all elected representatives would respond to the party leadership’s call.
