CBSE Moves Cyber Crime Unit After Repeated Attacks on Student Services Platform
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has approached a specialised cyber crime agency after its online post-result services platform came under a series of suspected cyber attack attempts in recent days.
Portal Faced Unusual Digital Traffic
The online facility, launched to help Class 12 students access services such as answer sheet verification and re-evaluation, reportedly experienced a surge of suspicious digital activity from multiple locations. Officials believe the activity was aimed at disrupting access for students and overloading the system.
The board noted that the attacks originated from several domestic and international internet sources, prompting immediate security measures.
No Data Breach Detected
CBSE clarified that its digital infrastructure remains protected and that no student information was compromised. According to officials, security teams continuously monitored the situation and successfully prevented any unauthorised access attempts.
The board emphasised that all critical databases remain intact and operational despite the attempted disruptions.
Multiple Agencies Assist in Security Response
To counter the threat, CBSE worked closely with cybersecurity experts and government-backed technology agencies. Technical teams from leading institutions and national cyber security organisations assisted in identifying and neutralising the suspicious activity.
Officials said coordinated efforts helped ensure that services for students continued without major interruptions.
