Khan Sir Named in FIR as Probe Intensifies; Security Guard Allegedly Claims Firing Was Ordered by Him

FIR Registered as Investigation Takes New Turn

The controversy surrounding a clash at a prominent coaching institute in Patna has escalated after police registered an FIR against three individuals, including educator Khan Sir, while widening their investigation into allegations of gunfire during the incident.

The case has been lodged under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act following the emergence of fresh evidence that investigators are now scrutinising.

Security Personnel Under Scanner

The latest development came after two security guards linked to the coaching institute were questioned by police. Investigators began examining their role after a video surfaced online allegedly showing firearms being used during the disturbance.

According to reports, one of the guards made claims during questioning that have added a new dimension to the investigation. However, police have not officially verified those assertions and have maintained that the probe is still underway.

Viral Video Being Examined

A video released by a rival coaching institution has become a key focus of the investigation. The footage, which has circulated widely on social media, allegedly captures individuals handling and discharging a weapon during the confrontation.

Police officials have sent the material for technical and forensic examination to determine whether the footage is authentic and to establish the exact sequence of events.

Authorities have stated that conclusions will only be drawn after scientific analysis and verification of all available evidence.

Rival Coaching Institute Raises Allegations

Representatives of another coaching centre involved in the dispute have accused the security staff of Khan Sir’s institution of being responsible for the alleged firing. They have also questioned earlier police action against their own coaching director and demanded a broader investigation into the incident.

The rival institute has argued that investigators should examine all angles before fixing responsibility.

Background of the June 2 Clash

The incident occurred late on June 2 at a coaching centre in Patna’s Kadamkuan area. Initial complaints alleged that a group entered the premises, damaged property, removed banners and engaged in stone-pelting.

While early claims suggested that gunshots may have been fired during the chaos, police had initially stated that no evidence of firing had been found. Notably, the original complaint reportedly did not mention any gunfire.
