Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Wednesday strongly criticised Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, responding to the latter’s recent political remarks. Pathak did not hold back, saying, “Akhilesh Yadav is daydreaming. He knows very well that the people of Uttar Pradesh have not forgotten the hooliganism, anarchy, and poor law and order situation that prevailed during the Samajwadi Party’s rule. Our government is committed to the development of Uttar Pradesh.”

The statement came amid a heated political climate in the state, with opposition leaders attempting to challenge the ruling party’s record. Pathak’s comments focused on reminding voters of the perceived governance failures under the SP regime, particularly in law and order, and projecting the current government’s achievements in development.
