Mumbai: Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Sirsat on Tuesday made a pointed statement that hinted at unease within the Mahayuti alliance, while making it clear that his party would not be taken lightly in the upcoming elections. Speaking to the media, Sirsat urged restraint and said the timing was not right to openly comment on the BJP’s actions.

“Don’t force me to comment about the BJP right now. It is not appropriate to say what you have done,” Sirsat said, suggesting that he was holding back despite being aware of developments within the alliance. He added that he was consciously choosing restraint, especially with elections underway.

Addressing local leaders, the Shiv Sena MLA asked them to be more attentive to ground realities. He hinted at internal manoeuvring, saying he was fully aware of conspiracies being planned, but maintained that raising such issues publicly during the election period would not be appropriate.

At the same time, Sirsat reaffirmed Shiv Sena’s commitment to the Mahayuti alliance, stating that the decision to contest elections together had already been taken. However, he cautioned against underestimating his party’s strength.

“Don’t think our position is weak. We will fight the election with our full strength,” he asserted, underlining that Shiv Sena remains confident and prepared for a tough electoral battle.
