Savargaon Ghat: On the occasion of Vijayadashami, BJP leader and Minister Pankaja Munde held her annual Dussehra gathering at Bhagwan Gad, Savargaon Ghat, drawing a large crowd from across the district and the state. The event, now in its 11th year, is renowned as a congregation for the marginalized and underprivileged, reflecting Munde’s commitment to social welfare.

Addressing the gathering, Munde spoke on several issues, including Maratha reservation. She said, “BJP’s late leader Gopinath Munde had supported Maratha reservation, and I also support it.”

She urged unity and compassion among people, stating, “I met the people. The shackles of caste fell away, and people rushed to help one another. Society and social bonds need to be strengthened. Such a leader is needed for everyone. I cannot express the pain of my people in words, but we have helped everyone. Those sitting peacefully and politely are my people; those creating chaos are not.”

Munde also criticized disorderly behavior at the event, saying, “I have given a warning to the unruly workers. In all these years of addressing gatherings, I have never seen such misconduct.”

Highlighting the spiritual significance of the venue, she said, “This gathering takes place at the birthplace of Saint Bhagwan Baba, giving it great importance. Millions of devotees come from across the state to listen to guidance here.”

Encouraging education and perseverance, she added, “Eat a little less, but gain education. Bhagwan Baba’s blessings are with you. I will protect the legacy and blessings of Munde Saheb. I will fight for the people of the 18-pagadi Maratha community and for all castes. I have not learned caste politics; I have come to meet you, not for the sake of giving speeches.”
