Tirupati: An IndiGo flight en route from Tirupati to Hyderabad was forced to return shortly after takeoff due to a minor technical issue, the airline confirmed in a statement. Flight 6E 6591, which was operating on the busy sector, experienced the glitch mid-air on Saturday.
Acting swiftly, the flight crew decided to turn the aircraft back to Tirupati as a precautionary measure, ensuring the safety of all passengers and crew on board. The aircraft landed safely without any further incident.
“All standard operating procedures were followed. Safety remains our top priority,” said an IndiGo spokesperson. The airline assured that the aircraft would undergo detailed technical checks before being cleared for future operations.
IndiGo also confirmed that all passengers were accommodated on the next available flights or provided with a full refund, depending on individual preferences. No injuries or serious disruptions were reported.
