Mumbai: A fresh controversy has erupted after Marathi actress and social media influencer Rajshree More, a close associate of Rakhi Sawant, accused Rahil Javed Shaikh — son of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Javed Shaikh — of misbehaving with her following a road incident. An FIR has been filed at Amboli Police Station in connection with the matter.
According to reports, the incident occurred late Sunday night when Rahil allegedly hit Rajshree’s car with his vehicle. A heated exchange followed, which was partially captured on video and later shared by Rajshree on her social media platforms. The footage shows Rahil in a half-naked state, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, engaging in a verbal spat with the actress.
In her complaint, Rajshree stated that she felt threatened by Rahil’s behaviour and feared for her safety. She has urged the police to take stringent action against the accused. Mumbai Police have begun an investigation and are examining the CCTV footage and social media clips related to the case.
The controversy didn’t end there. After sharing the video, Rajshree also made remarks questioning the ongoing campaign to promote the Marathi language. She argued that rather than imposing language rules, the local Marathi-speaking population should be empowered through education and job opportunities. These comments triggered backlash from MNS supporters.
MNS workers from Versova lodged a counter-complaint at Oshiwara Police Station, accusing Rajshree of insulting the Marathi community. Amid the growing outrage, Rajshree issued a public apology and deleted the video from her account, stating that her comments were misinterpreted and not intended to hurt regional sentiments.
