The blast, which occurred around 9 a.m. in the premises of Sigachi Chemicals in Sangareddy district, led to a fierce blaze that engulfed the factory and caused the collapse of its manufacturing section. Eleven fire engines were deployed to control the flames, while rescue teams worked intensively to locate survivors trapped under debris.

According to reports, five workers died instantly in the explosion, while three others succumbed to their injuries at hospitals. Among the deceased were two workers identified as Abhishek Kumar from Bihar and Nagarjit Tiwari from Odisha.
