JP Nadda Hails 11 Years of Modi Govt: ‘Appeasement Replaced by Accountability’

New Delhi: Marking the completion of 11 years of the Narendra Modi-led central government, BJP national president JP Nadda on Monday unveiled what he described as a “report card of transformation,” highlighting the shift in India’s political culture from “vote bank politics” to performance-based governance.

Addressing the media at the BJP headquarters, Nadda asserted that the Modi government had fundamentally altered the nation’s development trajectory. “We moved from appeasement to accountability, from slogans to results,” he said, underlining the government’s focus on Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas as the driving philosophy behind inclusive governance.

“The political landscape in 2014 was marred by division, identity-based politics, and mistrust. But today, under PM Modi’s leadership, we’ve created a culture of transparency. We present our progress to the public in the form of a report card — not empty promises,” Nadda added.

The BJP chief cited the abrogation of Article 370 as one of the most significant achievements of the Modi government, calling it a bold and historic move that brought full constitutional integration to Jammu and Kashmir. “People once called it impossible, but Modi ji made it a reality. And today, the record voter turnout — 58.46% in the Lok Sabha polls and 63% in Assembly elections — is proof of restored trust,” Nadda said.

Highlighting welfare efforts, Nadda pointed to the government’s consistent outreach to marginalised groups. “Over the last decade, we’ve prioritised SCs, STs, OBCs, and most importantly, women. From women army officers to girl cadets in Sainik Schools and the Lakhpati Didi scheme for rural entrepreneurship — every policy reflects inclusive progress,” he noted.
