New Delhi: The Delhi Police have successfully solved the mysterious murder case of 47-year-old Seema Singh, whose body was discovered in a drain last month. The breakthrough in the investigation came when authorities traced a nose pin found on the victim, leading them to a jewellery store in South Delhi. This seemingly small clue would ultimately point to Seema’s husband, Anil Kumar, a property dealer from Dwarka, as the prime suspect.
Seema’s body was initially discovered wrapped in a bedsheet, tied to a stone and a cement sack in a drain. With no immediate leads, the police turned to the nose pin, which was traced back to a purchase made at a local jewellery store. Records revealed that the nose pin had been bought by Anil Kumar, a resident of a farmhouse in Gurugram. The victim was then identified as Seema Singh, and further investigation led authorities to suspect her husband.
Kumar initially claimed that Seema had gone to Vrindavan without her phone, raising suspicions. When questioned further, he told Seema’s family that she was in Jaipur and not willing to speak. Despite these evasive responses, it was only days later that the family was asked to identify the body, which was confirmed to be Seema’s.
According to the post-mortem report, Seema had been strangled to death, and investigators found that only Seema and her husband had access to the keys to their Dwarka home. This revelation led to the arrest of Anil Kumar and his guard, Shiv Shankar, who is believed to have played a role in the crime.
