Srinagar: In a press statement released here on Saturday, Pir Nisar Ahmad, senior trade union leader of Jammu and Kashmir and vice president of the Jammu & Kashmir Employees Joint Consultative Committee (EJCC), praised the government’s decision to appoint Dr. G Nabi Itoo as the Director of School Education, Jammu and Kashmir (DSEK) for a second term.
Pir Nisar commended Dr. Itoo as a highly capable and renowned officer, noting his extensive experience across various government departments. He highlighted Dr. Itoo’s consistent dedication, commitment, and reputation for being an employee-friendly and upright officer. During his previous tenure as DSEK, Dr. Itoo worked tirelessly to improve the overall structure of the Education Department in Jammu and Kashmir.
Pir Nisar expressed confidence that Dr. Itoo would continue to support the teacher community and work towards enhancing the academic, cultural, and sports infrastructure for students. He emphasized the importance of integrating modern technology, providing training opportunities, and addressing the overall developmental needs of students.
Additionally, Pir Nisar urged Dr. Itoo to resolve the pending issues of education department employees, from joint directors to contingent paid workers, which require immediate attention.
Pir Nisar also extended his gratitude to Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Minister of Education, Sakina Itoo, and Chief Secretary of J&K Atal Dulloo for their support in this decision.
