A wave of concern swept through Bollywood fans as reports emerged of legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, 81, being admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute in Mumbai for angioplasty on a clot in his leg.
Initially, News 18 reported that Bachchan underwent treatment for a peripheral clot, not related to his coronary health. An insider stated, “An angioplasty was performed on a clot in his leg, and not on his heart.”
Contrary to these reports, India.Com refuted the claims of Bachchan’s hospitalization and surgery as ‘baseless.’ A source stated, “Bachchan has been doing well and is at his home in Jalsa as we update our readers about his health. He is feeling absolutely fine and has not experienced any issues whatsoever.”
Hours prior to the hospitalization rumors, Bachchan shared a cryptic post on X expressing gratitude. In another tweet, he cheered for his team Majhi Mumbai in the Indian Street Premier League, celebrating their qualification for the finals.
This recent health scare comes after Bachchan underwent wrist surgery a few days ago. In January, he shared photos with fellow stars and team owners Akshay Kumar and Suriya on his personal blog, discussing the Indian Street Premier League and his surgery.
Amidst concerns over his health, Bachchan’s fans eagerly await his next project, “Kalki 2898 AD,” as the iconic actor continues to inspire generations with his talent and resilience.
