A dramatic scene unfolded in the lobby of the Maharashtra legislative assembly on Friday, as per the sources, legislators from the Shinde group clashed with each other. Minister Dada Bhuse and MLA Mahendra Thorve, both representing the Shinde group (Shiv Sena Shinde Group), engaged in a physical altercation. The situation was brought under control by MLAs Shambhuraj Desai and Bharat Gogavale, also from the Shinde faction.
The confrontation took place while Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was present in the assembly hall along with other legislators from the Shinde group. The cause of the dispute between Mahendra Thorve and Dada Bhuse is yet to be ascertained. However, the occurrence of a confrontation between leaders from the same faction has ignited political discussions, indicating potential discord within the political sphere.
Dada Bhuse, also known as Dadaji Dagadu Bhuse, is a prominent Shiv Sena member representing the Malegaon Outer Assembly Constituency in the 13th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He has served multiple terms since his election in 2004 and has held various significant positions within the party, including Minister of State for Co-operation and guardian minister for Dhule and Palghar districts.
On the other hand, Mahendra Thorve currently serves as a Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly representing the Karjat Vidhan Sabha constituency as a member of the Shiv Sena. With a background in business and construction, Thorve entered politics and was elected in 2019.
The clash between these two leaders has brought attention to potential divisions within the Shiv Sena’s ranks, highlighting internal tensions that may have broader implications for the party’s unity and political strategy.
