Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed shock and condemnation over recent comments made by Rahul Gandhi, without directly naming him, during his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Uttar Pradesh. Addressing a gathering, PM Modi strongly criticized the use of the term ‘nashedi’ (addicts) to describe the youth of Uttar Pradesh by the Congress leader.
“They spent the decade abusing Modi. But now they are talking out their frustration on the people. Jinke aapne hosh thhikane nahi hai, wo UP ke, mere kashi ke bachcho ko nashedi keh rahe hai (those who are not in their senses are calling UP’s youth addicts)”,” PM Modi stated, emphasizing his surprise and disapproval at the derogatory language employed by Gandhi.
Referring to the remarks, PM Modi highlighted the absurdity of such derogatory language towards the youth of the state. He emphasized that those who have been criticizing him for years are now venting their frustration on the people. The Prime Minister firmly defended the youth of Uttar Pradesh, denouncing the demeaning characterization and asserting their dignity.
Furthermore, PM Modi took a dig at the INDIA bloc, a coalition formed by opposition parties, stating that they come together only before elections and then resort to infighting afterward. He expressed confidence in the upcoming elections, asserting that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would secure victory in Uttar Pradesh.
The Prime Minister outlined his vision for the future, envisioning a strong third term for his government, promising transformative growth and development for the nation. He projected India’s ascent to becoming the third-largest economy globally within the next five years.
Rahul Gandhi’s remarks, made during a rally in Amethi, drew sharp criticism from PM Modi and other political leaders. Gandhi’s comments on unemployment and the state of affairs in Uttar Pradesh were condemned as disrespectful and out of touch with reality.
The controversy sparked by Gandhi’s remarks underscores the charged political atmosphere in the run-up to elections, with leaders engaging in heated rhetoric as they vie for public support.
