Suhana Khan, the daughter of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, has made headlines once again, this time for purchasing a sprawling farm land in the picturesque village of Thal in Alibaug, Maharashtra. Documents accessed by IndexTap.com revealed that Suhana Khan acquired the land for a staggering sum of ₹9.5 crore, further cementing her foray into real estate investments.
According to the documents, Suhana Khan paid a stamp duty of ₹57 lakh for the transaction. The parcel of land, located in Thal village in Raigad, Alibaug, spans an impressive area of 78361 square feet. The transaction, completed on February 13, 2024, marks another significant investment by the young debutante.
This isn’t the first time Suhana Khan has invested in real estate in Alibaug. Last year, in June, she made headlines for her investment in an agricultural land spanning 1.5 acres, complete with three structures, for a whopping ₹12.91 crore. These investments underscore her interest in acquiring property in the serene surroundings of Alibaug.
Thal village, where Suhana Khan’s latest acquisition is situated, is conveniently located just a 12-minute drive from Alibaug town. It’s worth noting that Shah Rukh Khan himself reportedly owns a sea-facing property in Thal, boasting amenities such as a swimming pool and a helipad.
Alibaug has long been a favored destination for celebrities and industrialists seeking luxury homes and weekend getaways. Prominent figures like Navin Agarwal of Vedanta Resources, Gautam Singhania of Raymonds, and Sanjay Nayar of KKR, among others, are known to own properties in the area.
Bungalows in Alibaug range from one acre to 10 acres in size and command prices ranging from ₹8 crore to a staggering ₹70 crore, depending on their location and amenities. Improved connectivity, thanks to initiatives like Ro-Ro and speed boats connecting Mumbai to Alibaug, as well as infrastructure developments like the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link sea bridge, have further enhanced the appeal of Alibaug as a premier residential destination.
