International Islamic School Handwara student wins gold at SKIA International Karate Championship

Srinagar: Falak Fayaz, a 6th standard student of International Islamic School (IIS) Handwara has won gold medal at the International Karate Championship, organised by Shotokan Karate Do Indian Association (SKIA) held in Goa. 

“The school is delighted with her success and extends heartfelt congratulations to her,” the faculty of IIS said. Falak Fayaz participated for the first time in an International Karate Championship and won a gold medal thus bringing laurels to her school.

Chairman IIS, Dr Tarique Raheem while welcoming the winner said that she has indeed become an inspiration for other girl students.

He thanked her coach and teachers of IIS for guiding Falak to achieve this feat. He also extended his gratitude to the SKIA international championship for providing an opportunity to students to prove their mettle in the field of sports.
