Srinagar: Scores of ASHA workers on Tuesday held a protest demonstration at Kupwara to press for their demand for implementation of the Minimum Wages Act”. “Our workers who are engaged in red-containment zones lack basic health equipments,” argued an angry Asha worker.
Meanwhile’ they appealed to the Lieutenant Governor to release the pending salaries and provide monthly wages to all frontline workers with an incentive allowance of Rs 25’000 per month, otherwise our protest will continue.
