Full dress rehearsal for 73rd Republic Day held in DPL Handwara

Srinagar: A full-dress rehearsal for the 73rd Republic Day parade was held by Handwara Police at DPL Handwara while following all Covid-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Tehsildar Handwara Shahbaz Aakhoon unfurled the National Flag and saluted the march past. Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Handwara Irshad Hussain of Jammu-Kashmir Police Service (JKPS) and other officers of police and Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) witnessed the event.

The chief guest in their speech briefed the role of freedom fighters of Nation, the developmental progress of nation and district as well, role of Police and health department in Covid pandemic.

The parade was commanded by Sub-Inspector Amir Manzoor followed by the contingents of District Police, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Home Guards.

At the end a colourful cultural programme was organised in which students of different schools of PD Handwara participated.
