Srinagar: Zorawar Garrison organised felicitation ceremony of Block Medical Officer (BMO) and his staffs, Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Sogam along with Anganwadi workers on the occasion of World Red Cross Day at Chandigam Model Village, Lolab Valley, district Kupwara.
Zorawar Garrison under the aegis of Cherkut Garrison organised felicitation ceremony of Block Medical Officer, Dr Fareed and his staff members, Sub-District Hospital Sogam along with Anganwadi workers on the occasion of World Red Cross Day as an honour. The felicitation ceremony was celebrated with great fervour, gaiety and enthusiasm. All precautionary measures of Covid-19 were strictly followed.
The function was held at Chandigam Model Village ground which was witnessed by around 75 locals including civilian dignitaries. Initially Regiment Medical Officer, Zorawar Garrison gave a brief talk on World Red Cross Day followed by a brief talk by the Block Medical Officer Dr Fareed on achievements of Sub-District Sogam and the infrastructure facility available over there.
Following this Zorawar Garrison Second-in-Command and the Regimental Medical Officer felicitated Team Sub-District Hospital Sogam and the Anganwadi workers for their utmost dedication and service to the society. The audience present there gave a standing ovation. Team SDH Sogam and Anganwadi workers thanked the Indian Army for the felicitation and this kind gesture on the occasion of World Red Cross Day.
In the end the felicitation ceremony culminated with the national anthem.
