Mumbai: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said that his interaction with Bollywood stalwarts will go a long way in developing the world-class film city near Noida.
He clarified that he is not snatching away anything from any state as the move will eventually help in strengthening the country’s economy.
Remarks of the UP CM comes in response to Shiv Sena leaders raising their hackles alleging that the UP CM was “forcibly” taking away the film city elsewhere from Mumbai.
Speaking to newspersons here in Mumbai, Adityanath said that setting up of the film city in Uttar Pradesh is a step towards realising the dream of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’.
The UP CM said that his state is providing better law & order, social security and an environment which will pave the way for a person to work without any discrimination.
Adityanath said that he held a fruitful interaction with the producers, actors and stakeholders from the film industry during his two day visit to take forward the work of developing the world-class film city which will be barely six kilometres away from the Asia’s biggest international airport that is coming up at Jewar.

He further said, the film city is coming up on the one thousand acres of land and people from the film industry have shown keen interest in it.
Adityanath said the Noida Film City should not look like a government project and hence exhorted producers and actors to show active participation. He said, in different parts of UP film related activities can be carried out and films on historical events, country’s rich heritage and on eco-tourism can be made.
He said from the two airports in the year 2017, now there are seven airports that are functional in Uttar Pradesh.
Adityanath also said that during the Covid-19 pandemic his government has given jobs to 1.25 crore people, which he claimed was highest in the country.
The Uttar Pradesh chief minister also held dialogues with the heads of Adani defence, Mahindra defence, Siemens defence, L&T defence and others to develop the defence manufacturing corridor at Aligarh, Agra, Kanpur, Lucknow and Chitrakoot.
