Kanpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his deep condolences on the tragic death of Shubham Dwivedi, a Kanpur resident, who was killed in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22.
Speaking to the media, CM Adityanath condemned the attack, describing it as a “cowardly act” by the terrorists. “This attack shows that terrorism is on its last breath, and such incidents are not acceptable in a country like India,” he stated. He assured the nation that the central government’s actions would be decisive in putting an end to terrorism in the region.
Yogi Adityanath emphasized the seriousness of the situation and the government’s commitment to combating terrorism. “The actions of the central government will put the last nail in the coffin of terrorism,” he added. Referring to the inspection of the affected areas by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the Chief Minister confirmed that further steps would be taken to resolve the ongoing threat of terrorism.
“The country should have full faith in Prime Minister Modi’s leadership,” he said, reaffirming the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. Adityanath also conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the grieving family of Shubham Dwivedi, who was the only son of his parents. “I have met with the family of Shubham Dwivedi. The final rites will take place soon. The family is in deep grief, and I pray for his soul to rest in peace. The entire country stands with them.”
CM Adityanath reassured the public that the accused responsible for the horrific incident would not be spared. “Stringent action will be taken against the terrorists involved,” he vowed.
