Delhi: BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad on Tuesday strongly criticized the Congress and other opposition parties, accusing them of misusing Parliament and spreading misinformation regarding voter lists.
Speaking to the media, Prasad said: “Congress and other opposition parties are making a mockery of Parliament. They have not received any relief from the Supreme Court on a single issue. They use abusive language and seem to want illegal voters to be registered, like intruders, Rohingyas, or even those who have passed away. Duplicate voters are not corrected. What do they want? Even now, they have not clarified their stand.”
Prasad’s comments come amid a heated debate over alleged irregularities in voter rolls, with opposition parties accusing the government and the Election Commission of allowing fraudulent entries.
