Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is addressing the state. Earlier the government has said that schools will reopen after Diwali. Following a meeting with Minister Varsha Gaikwad and Minister of State Bacchu Kadu and other officials from the department, Thackeray said that schools will start after Diwali with all the requisite precautions in place.India recorded an addition of 50,357 new infections on Saturday. Deaths from the pandemic in the country crossed the 1.25 lakh mark while the overall caseload stood at 84,62,081. The national recovery rate has further jumped to 92.41 per cent.
