New Delhi: Retail giant Walmart has opened registrations for the India Growth Summit 2026, an initiative aimed at helping Indian businesses scale both domestically and internationally.

The summit will take place on May 7, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, bringing together micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), digital-first brands, direct-to-consumer (D2C) sellers, and supply chain innovators to explore opportunities in global trade through Walmart’s marketplace ecosystem.

Registrations will remain open until April 23, 2026, allowing Indian businesses interested in joining the Walmart Marketplace to apply and explore international e-commerce expansion.

The initiative aligns with the Government of India’s Make in India mission, with a focus on boosting exports in sectors such as home textiles, consumables, health and wellness products, food items, general merchandise, jewellery, apparel, footwear, toys, and stationery.

The summit will feature executive sessions with Walmart leadership, followed by curated learning modules designed to help businesses scale operations, understand global retail dynamics, and access international markets through e-commerce.

Participants will also have the opportunity to register on Walmart Marketplace, giving them access to Walmart’s global customer base through cross-border trade.

A dedicated Resource Center will offer one-on-one advisory sessions to help businesses navigate platform onboarding, regulatory requirements, and international trade processes with guidance from Walmart’s category teams and industry experts.

“At Walmart, we are passionate about helping businesses thrive on the global stage,” said Manish Joneja, Senior Vice President of Walmart Marketplace. “The India Growth Summit 2026 reflects our commitment to innovation and to helping sellers and suppliers expand into global markets. We look forward to working with Indian entrepreneurs to scale their businesses and reach customers worldwide.”

Since launching the Vriddhi Supplier Development Program in 2019, Walmart has trained more than 70,000 MSMEs in India. The company plans to train an additional 100,000 MSMEs by 2028, equipping them with tools and knowledge to access domestic and international markets.

With over 1.4 million sellers on Flipkart, the summit will also highlight pathways for Indian entrepreneurs to explore cross-border opportunities and integrate into global retail supply chains.

The event will also showcase emerging retail technologies, evolving consumer expectations, and digital tools that can help suppliers accelerate international growth.

Selected applicants will receive invitations to attend the summit in person and interact directly with Walmart leadership, category experts, and fellow entrepreneurs from across India.
